This section is more suitable for the larger raw materials in the early stage, and it is not easy to directly crush or granulate through the crusher. But sometimes this section can be omitted. For example, the sawdust pellet production line can directly pelletize, and this section is not needed.

This section is usually used in biomass pellet production line, forage gress pellet production line and nutshell straw pellet production line. For example, the SFSP hammer mill is used for wood and fruit shells, and the straw/alfalfa/husk/grass crusher is used for grass and straw. Different raw materials are equipped with different types of crusher.

Conveying equipment is mechanical equipment that transports bulk cargo and unit goods from a loading point to an unloading point along a certain route in a continuous manner. The conveying equipment of RICHI machinery includes screw conveyor, scraper conveyor, belt conveyor and Bucket elevator.

To dry materials and remove the moisture from 50% to 15-17%. Itincludes: --Burningstove,tosupplyhotair --Drumdryer --Dischargingcyclone.

Wood pellet machine, also known as biomass pellet machine, has a wide range of raw materials: straw shells include wood, straw, sawdust, cotton stalks, rice husks, peanut shells, sunflower shells, coconut shells, coffee shells, bamboo, etc. . The grasses are alfalfa, hops, hemp, hay, grass, etc. In addition, there are organic fertilizer granulator, cat litter granulator and so on.

Pellets come out from pellet machine, its temperature is around 70℃, by cooling system, It can cool down to room temperature immediately. By momentary cooling, the hardness of pellets will become more stronger.

The forming rate of pellet machine is around 98 % , so there are still have 2% powder in pellets,by screening, sort out all the powders from pellets.

There are three kinds of automatic packaging machines produced by RICHI machinery: powder packaging machines, granule packaging machines and (universal) dual-purpose packaging machines.

A dust collection system is an air quality improvement system used in industrial production to improve breathable air quality and safety by removing particulate matter from the air and environment. Dust collection systems work on the basic formula of capture, convey and collect.

Hemp

Hemp, or industrial hemp, is a variety of the Cannabis sativa plant species that is grown specifically for industrial use. It can be used to make a wide range of products. Along with bamboo, hemp is one of the fastest growing plants on Earth. It was also one of the first plants to be spun into usable fiber 50,000 years ago. It can be refined into a variety of commercial items, including paper, rope, textiles, clothing, biodegradable plastics, paint, insulation, biofuel, food, and animal feed.

The hemp pellets produced by the hemp pellet plant production line have two uses: one can be used as animal feed pellets and the other can be used as pellet fuel. Hemp pellets can be used as feed to feed pigs, cattle, sheep and fish. Hemp as a fuel particle can be used in thermal power plants, boilers, etc. We exported a cannabis pellet production line to the U.S. project in 2019. How to Make Hemp Pellet?

The first stage involves collecting the mowed hemp. It is after collecting the materials that one is supposed to lay them in the sun for drying, while laying them in a thin layer after which pilling is done.

The second step is starting the pellet making mill and preheating it for some minutes. This is done to ensure that ones the hemp is put inside the machine, the little left moisture is dried. It is also done to melt the lignin part of the hemp to allow for gluing which makes the resulting pellets to come together.

Thirdly, a container is put under the chute of hemp pellet machine. This container serves as a collecting pit for the resultant pellets.

The fourth step involves adjusting of the moisture content depending on the finished pellets. This process involves accessing the ready pellets where by, if the pellets are crumbly, then the implication is that the pellets are very dry and thus the hemp should be mixed with some water. Mushy pellets thus imply that the pellets have high moisture content and so the hemp has to be dried longer in the sun.

The fifth step is to cool the cool the pellets in the air before storing. This step prepares them for burning and thus one can comfortably use them as fuel.

The last step is generally collecting the unspent pellets and parking them in bags for future use.

What Are The Issues With Other Biomass Materials?

Before we discuss the benefits of hemp pellets, we need to address the issues other biomass fuel pellets experience during combustion. The pellet fuel market is now developing to include other biomass energy crops such as miscanthus, switchgrass and hemp. All of these biomass materials can be collected and processed in the pellet mill to produce grass pellets which are suitable for fuel-flexible pellet stoves and boilers. However different biomass materials produce different combustion results. We have seen this through our experiments with our own biomass pellet boiler.

The Issue of Ash Content

While miscanthus and switchgrass both have their merits, they also have their issues. The problem with most grasses and straws is during combustion they produce a significantly higher ash content than say premium wood pellets. Many pellet stoves and boilers are designed specifically to burn wood pellets with an ash content below 2%. Therefore using grass pellets can often create issues. With some biomass pellets, the ash content can be as high as 10%. Therefore this either means the ash bin fills up really quickly or in some cases, the pellet stove or boiler can stop working altogether.

Clinker Formations

The other problem with some biomass fuel pellets made from grasses and straws is clinker formations. Clinkers are where the ash melts and forms together into a clump. Most pellet stoves and boilers have no means to deal with clinkers, as they were specifically designed to run on wood pellets. When the clinker is hot it’s soft and sticky. However, when it cools it’s as hard as glass. Luckily our pellet boiler is very durable and able to deal with such clinkers. However, most pellet stoves are not. And a clinker such as that shown in the image above could do a small pellet stove some serious damage.
