This section is more suitable for the larger raw materials in the early stage, and it is not easy to directly crush or granulate through the crusher. But sometimes this section can be omitted. For example, the sawdust pellet production line can directly pelletize, and this section is not needed.

This section is usually used in biomass pellet production line, forage gress pellet production line and nutshell straw pellet production line. For example, the SFSP hammer mill is used for wood and fruit shells, and the straw/alfalfa/husk/grass crusher is used for grass and straw. Different raw materials are equipped with different types of crusher.

Wood pellet machine, also known as biomass pellet machine, has a wide range of raw materials: straw shells include wood, straw, sawdust, cotton stalks, rice husks, peanut shells, sunflower shells, coconut shells, coffee shells, bamboo, etc. . The grasses are alfalfa, hops, hemp, hay, grass, etc. In addition, there are organic fertilizer granulator, cat litter granulator and so on.

Pellets come out from pellet machine, its temperature is around 70℃, by cooling system, It can cool down to room temperature immediately. By momentary cooling, the hardness of pellets will become more stronger.

The forming rate of pellet machine is around 98 % , so there are still have 2% powder in pellets,by screening, sort out all the powders from pellets.

There are three kinds of automatic packaging machines produced by RICHI machinery: powder packaging machines, granule packaging machines and (universal) dual-purpose packaging machines.

A dust collection system is an air quality improvement system used in industrial production to improve breathable air quality and safety by removing particulate matter from the air and environment. Dust collection systems work on the basic formula of capture, convey and collect.

Why is rice husk important?

Simply, it is a waste material which has an economic value. Also it contains various natural compounds like silica and lignocellulose. The composition of rice husk shows that it contains approximately 15−30 percent of silica, 70−85 percent of lignocellulose (35−40 percent of cellulose, 15−20 percent of hemicellulose and 20−25 percent lignin) and trace amounts of metal ions.

These lignocellulosic materials and silica should have a monetary value because the inputs of the paddy production have been converted into these forms through a natural process. In terms of energy, this material has a high heat value which is sufficient to use as a renewable raw material to generate energy. From an economic point of view, this is a conversion of the investment and on the other hand, a loss of money if it is not utilized for any beneficial uses. Thus, the given facts indicate how important the paddy husk is and how diverse the potential uses of it are.

Generating energy

Paddy husk can be used for different applications as bulk, i.e., paddy husk is largely used as a fuel on a small scale, and on a large scale for electrical power and thermal energy generation. In some cases, it is used as a fertilizer in agricultural fields. The high heat value (15MJ/kg) of paddy husk facilitates its use to generate electrical and thermal energy. Once the energy is generated, it can be used for heating and drying purposes, i.e., the fossil fuel in industrial boilers can be substituted by rice husk.

How to Make Rice Husk Pellets?

 

The process of this project has strict requirements on the moisture content of raw materials. According to the information provided by the construction unit, the moisture content of the rice husks raw materials purchased in this project is less than 12%, and the moisture content of the finished product is not higher than 5%.

(1) Raw materials

The rice husks are stored in the raw material warehouse, and the rice husks are transported through the airtight duct, and loading.

(2) Hoist lifting

The materials transported by the air duct are lifted to the next process through the hoist.

(3) Dust removal by dust collector

The material lifted by the hoist is dusted by the dust collector and then transported to the raw material hopper. Dust will be generated in this process.

(4) Rice husk pellet machine granulation

The rice husks in the raw material hopper is transported to the feed inlet of the granulator due to the action of the center of gravity. Under the conditions of high temperature and high pressure, the water vapor is discharged to the atmosphere through the pipeline in the form of water vapor, and the water vapor is condensed into liquid water through the pipeline and discharged to the septic In the tank, the raw materials are compressed into shaped biomass particles, which are transported to the next process by a belt conveyor.

(5) Conveyor belt

After being processed by the pelletizer, the formed rice husks particles fall from the discharge port to the sealed belt conveyor, and are transported to the elevator by the sealed belt conveyor.

(6) Hoisting and cooling

The elevator lifts and conveys the formed rice husks particles to the raw material hopper, and adopts air cooling during the conveying process.

(7) Bagging and storage of finished products

After cooling, the formed biomass particles are temporarily stored in the finished product hopper, and some finished products are bagged and sealed in the finished product warehouse.

Advantages of Rice Husk Pellet Fuel

After dealing, the rice husk has higher water- absorbing with more opportunities to melting in water for various of nutrient content, so the fodder can be digested by the livestock, with 17%-20% digestibility, improving one time than before. Rice husk, as a kind of fodder, can be divided into unit bran fodder, puffed rice husk fodder, rice husk fermentation fodder, chemistry treatment fodder. Rice husk pellets processed by rice husk pellet mill are more suitable for animal consumption.

The Advantages of Using Rice Husk as Biomass Pellets Fuel

1. High heating value. The density of the shaped rice husk pellets is (1.0-1.3) t/m3 and the heating value is (3500-4000) kcal/kg, whose market price is 750RMB per ton.

2. The raw material is more abundant and the cost is low relatively.

3. Crushing and drying is not necessary for the processing, and only with one pelletizing line can the production process, which can decrease the equipment investment.

4. With low cost, the production power consumption for one ton of rice husk pelletizing is below 60 degrees of electricity.

5. No smoke produced in the processing is good for the environment.

6. It is convenient to reserve and transport.
