Advantages of Chicken Feed Pellets

1. Sanitation: the high operating pressure and high temperature during the pelleting process will kill most of the parasites found in the chicken feed, thus naturally reducing the parasitic load of the chicken.
2. Less wastage of feeds: with pelleted feeds the feed wastage during feeding is drastically reduced.
3. Impossible for chicken to sort the feed because it is all mixed into solid pellets therefore chicken eat all the necessary but less palatable sections of the feed together with the more palatable portions as they cannot be separated.
4. Improved feed conversion: most studies and field tests have shown that pellet feeds can improve the conversion rate of chicken feed compared with mash feed.
5. Reduced dust: pellet feed has almost no dust, unlike mash feed, which has much more dust. The dusty feed has poor taste and poses a risk of respiratory disease in chickens.
6. Occupies less storage area: pellet feed takes up less space per unit weight during bagging and storage, so it is easy to store.
